One of the hardest things about graduating was building my professional wardrobe for a business-attire dress code. Going from jeans and a T-shirt (okay lets be real leggings, a t-shirt and a vest) everyday in class to having to dress up everyday was a struggle. I got sick of my clothes at first, but then learned how to mix and match a few key pieces to create a professional uniform.
This top I can wear with either a skirt or pants. I usually cover up with a cardigan when it gets too cold in the office.
These heels are so comfortable! Thinking of getting these for my wedding (in nav and when I need to get a new pair of black pumps.
Top// Loft Pants// Loft (in black too!) Shoes// Micheal Kors // Necklace // Tote// Micheal Kors // Earrings// J.Crew Factory
You’ll see that I can’t match everything I wore, mainly because I tend to wear pieces year to year until they just aren’t socially acceptable to wear anymore! I linked similar pieces, and jewelry that would go great with this outfit while fitting a lot of different styles. One of the reasons that I love this look is I can make it as bold or conservative as I want!
My Micheal Kors bag is one of my favorite graduation purchases. It’s got room for pretty much everything, and the unique color goes with so much.I would highly recommend it as a great professional bag. (I got mine on Amazon some sure to check there for sales!)
Jewelry wise I normally keep it simple with a statement necklace and studs. I also wear my Fitbit like everyday. Right now I’m working in a more conservative office, so I tend to tone it down a little bit.
What’s your work uniform? What is your work’s dress code? Do you like to dress up for class?
