Happy Holidays! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. We decorated Christmas cookies and did a little more shopping for Christmas. I’m excited to share with you the Christmas decorations we put up right after Thanksgiving!
We’re in a new apartment this year, and it was so much fun to decorate our place in a new way. Thought I would share our decorations so that you can get some inspiration for your own space!
Christmas Decorations 2017
Decorating is one of my favorite parts of Christmas, and we’re slowly bringing it into all aspects of our apartment. We added a cute Christmas dish towel from the Target dollar aisle to our kitchen. I’m planning to look at after Christmas sales for more ideas for our bedroom!
If you’re wondering where we got some of our decor, unfortunately, most of it is last season or “borrowed” from our parents. Target and Hobby Lobby are my favorite places to get our decor, especially on Black Friday and the week after Christmas. Another idea is to ask your families if they have any “extras”, we got a tree skirt and nativity scene from my parents with the idea
A really easy way to bring the holiday spirit into any room is to add ornaments! I love the mini ones from Target. We have a set in a tall glass vase on our bar cart, and in a glass jar on a bookshelf. It’s a fairly affordable way to bring Christmas cheer into any room.
All of our garlands are from Hobby Lobby, and we actually used wire cutters to cut a 9-foot garland into three, 3-foot garlands for the top of our bookshelves.
Tinsel is also a really easy way to make something festive! I’m thinking of adding some tinsel to our TV stand, and a little bit around our kitchen.
How do you like to decorate your space for Christmas? Any great places to shop I don’t know about?
