As part of my #NoSpendFeb I thought I would share my regular, and very “me” outfits. Right now, I’m working at a “business casual” workplace. There’s a range of how people dress, and I love being able to wear jeans and a sweater one day, but not be out of place in a dress the next. My causal winter work outfit is simple to throw together, and easy to create from your own closet!
Casual Winter Work Outfit
A little bit about my outfit! I’ve had this black blazer (and one in navy as well) since senior year of high school. It is literally the most versatile thing in my closet, and I wear them regularly. In a couple of years, I’ll probably invest in some new ones, but for now, they are the perfect business casual blazer. I’ve been able to wear them in every job I’ve ever had. It’s a budget-friendly option that I really recommend!
Also, this satin shirt from Nordstrom is normally out of my comfort zone, but I’ve been able to wear it in so many different situations. At work, at church, and out on the town with my girlfriends. It’s only available in green now, but I’ve linked other options.
In terms of jeans, I’ve now pretty much only buy Old Navy jeans. I get them on sale for under $30, and they fit me well! I’m not sure how other jeans’ brands wear because I’ve had bad experiences with Loft jeans wearing oddly. You get what you pay for (most pairs last me 1-2 years), but as a young professional, it’s worth it. I need about 2-3 pairs for work and don’t have to money to spend $75 on jeans every time.
These shoes are also Old Navy, and they are so comfy. I don’t think that I would wear them to walk to work and back, but they are great for work. After breaking them in, I can easily wear them all day. For work, I normally wear boots/tennis shoes in because my feet get so cold in the winter months.
What is your favorite casual winter work outfit? Any sweaters or tops that I should look into for after my #NoShopFeb?
