Remember this post when I told you my goals for the year? Well, I’m happy to report that I’ve actually been doing really great with the goal of reading 24 books this year! If any of you are trying to read more as well, I thought I would share my favorite reads from this month, as well as three books that are on my list!
January Books To Read
Books I’ve Read
This was a really good book, and I really need to read the rest of this series. It’s just an unexpected book, and I found myself reading it at any moment that I could. Like right away in the morning on the weekend when Matt wasn’t up yet, I read for a good two hours!
I highly recommend this book if you’re looking for a good historical fiction with a twist. It’s a perfect vacation read as well! I’m looking to reserve the other two books in this series.
If you’re interested in how our country has ended up so divided or struggled to understand how Trump was elected, this is a book for you. This is a non-fiction, autobiography of a man who grew up as a “hillbilly” in Ohio. It was an incredibly eye-opening, gut-wrenching read that I think a lot of people need to read.
It’s a good read, and one that opened my eyes to my privilege, and how I think thought our country was.
Books I’m Going to Read
I’m looking forward to reading this because I’ve heard a lot of people have learned from it. People who I admire said that it’s changed the way that they work. As I look to advance my career, I look for advice to help me do better.
Have you read this? Let me know what you think!
This was recommended by a lot of bloggers, and I’ve already started it! I can’t wait to see how it ends because the beginning is so intriguing.
This is a book about Ben Franklin and his family. I’m currently really into the Revolutionary War, and can’t wait to read this!
