Mother’s day is one of my favorite days of the year especially since my family goes out to brunch, all dressed up and we get to be really sappy with our mom. It’s seriously amazing.
One of my favorite things to give on holidays like this is experiences. Instead of a great gift (which are awesome please don’t get me wrong) I like to treat my loved ones to something they wouldn’t normally do or get for themselves.
Mother’s Day Gift Guide: Experiences
Spa Gift Card:
This one is kind of obvious, but pick out a service you want your mom (or mom figure) in your life to get! Or give her enough money to pick and choose a couple. I always like to find a local spa that I know my mom likes to go to!
Hair/Waxing Salon Gift Card:
Pay for your mom to have her hair or favorite service done, it will encourage her to get something done she doesn’t normally enjoy, or free up money for her to treat herself even more!
Restaurant Gift Card:
My mom loves a good meal, so giving her a gift certificate for at least a couple round of drinks at her favorite or a new restaurant is perfect. I love the idea of being able to give my mom a night out with my dad or her girlfriends! It’s a little more memorable for her that way!
Tickets to an Event:
Does your mom love musicals? What about concerts? Art Galleries? Buy a pair of tickets to something that she’ll love! Try to at least get two tickets so she can go with someone!
A Day Together
Tell your mom that you two can pick a day and spend it together doing whatever she wants. Maybe you go shopping together, grab lunch, or maybe you work in the garden together. Whatever she wants to do, offer to foot part of the bill (if you can). Often moms miss us and just want to spend some extra time together!
Teeth Whitening Kit:
You may have remembered my post about whitening my teeth with Smile Brilliant. I’m whitening my teeth for my wedding, and I figured that our moms might want to do the same! Honestly I’ve had really great results from mine, and know that my mom wants to whiten her teeth as well.
If your mom is worried about sensitivity, don’t worry, Smile Brilliant has a great system that won’t result in a lot of increased sensitivity.
Thankfully you can give your mom the gift of white teeth too! Smile Brilliant is partnering with me to give away a $25 gift card for their teeth whitening trays! (If you enter for yourself, I totally won’t judge. Just forward the link to your mom so she can enter too!)
What are you getting your mom for Mother’s day? Anything special that you like to do every year?
