New Look for B&B

Long-time no chat! Grab a cup of coffee, maybe some water, or heck even an alcoholic beverage and let’s catch up on what’s new!

A New Look

You’ll see that A Blonde & A Briefcase has a completely new look. Think of this new blog as your friend’s digital place, where you can come in to find helpful advice, inspiration and career help. For those of you post -graduates, I’m here to help navigate the tricky situations that we all come across. From the first summer you’re bombarded with weddings, to knowing what to get your best friend for Christmas and how to deal with a workplace crush. I’ll be here for you Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. There will even be a newsletter for you each week (starting in a couple of weeks).

Where I’ve been

So you’re probably wondering where the heck I’ve been for the past five months. Well I planned about half of my wedding, visited vendors, wrapped and packed up my life in Green Bay. I also moved home for two weeks, spent precious time with my dog family. Matt and I moved across the country and settled into life in Boston, MA. Matt started his job, and I started an exhaustive job search. We’ve been exploring our new city, checking out new places to eat and making new friends.

It’s been a rough year for me, and just like everything with life it’s a stage, a chapter or a passing phase.  In order to take care of myself I had to take something off of my plate. Unfortunately the easy thing to take off my plate was blogging. Work was stressful, moving plans were complicated, job searching was intense and trying to handle my personal  life was getting to be too much. I decided that if I couldn’t give you my all, it was better not to blog at all.

Moving Forward

But now? I have a plan to make this blog work better for you, and am focused on providing the best possible content for you!

Here’s to new beginnings, needing another cup of whatever you started with at the beginning of this post, and cherishing whatever stage of life we’re in. For more behind the scences fun, like what we’re making for dinner, what we’re watching or even what weird photos Matt takes of me add me on Snapchat ashley_vickney!

What have you been up to lately? How’s life treating you? Anything exciting coming up for you?

P.S. I linked a bunch of different fun options for my basic outfit below!
