Well, it’s about time I shared our wedding day photos. This past Sunday we celebrated three months of wedded bliss (nothing super special, but still remarkable). We were engaged for over two years, so somedays it’s hard to believe that we’re finally married. #BeineEverAfter was the absolute best day we could have asked for.
This is a long post, sorry for the photo overload, I had such a hard time narrowing it down!
#BeineEverAfter Wedding Day
It rained until after our ceremony, meaning that it was a cold and rainy first look. My make-up artist and I got our wires crossed, so she thought she had about 3 more hours than she did to do make-up. That made us almost an hour late for photos. Some decorations never made it to the reception, and the video that Matt worked really hard on wasn’t able to play at our reception.
But guess what? We barely noticed. We had so much fun, and not having enough time to take photos before the ceremony meant that we stopped for some amazing photos afterward. Our ceremony was meaningful and full of joyous moments, and our reception was so fun. People were on the dance floor until 11:30, and we’re still getting compliments on our DJ.
Why am I telling you this? Mainly, because as a bride I was freaking out reading a million articles on things that will go wrong on your wedding day. And to be honest, I knew things would, but remembered at the end of the day it only mattered if we were husband and wife. I want other people to know that being surrounded by your best friends and loved ones are so much more important than a perfectly executed day.
I’ve said it a million times, and I’ll say it again. My parents gave us the best day we could have asked for. My in-laws also contributed so much to it. Our friends and countless family members all contributed to makes so many of our details meaningful. My veil was actually made by one of my mom’s best friends. Our card box was lovingly crafted by my father-in-law. My mother-in-law’s friends allowed us to borrow some of their own decorations to fray costs, and my aunt ran our day for us to make me feel much more relaxed.
Our bridal party was an absolute blast, and they all got along so well. They made me feel better and took my mind off of my anxiety. I don’t think we could have had more fun that day.
Thank you for making #BeineEverAfter the best day. We’ll never forget it!
I’d be remiss if I forgot our vendors at all. They were all such amazing professionals and made planning from half-a-country away so easy. If you’re in the southeastern Wisconsin area, we couldn’t recommend them enough!
